CarPeeps Vehicle Return Policy

1. Definitions

  • "Consumer": An individual purchasing a vehicle for personal use, not for business purposes.

  • "Fault": A defect present at the time of sale that renders the vehicle of unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose, or not as described.

  • "Wear and Tear": Deterioration resulting from normal usage, considering the vehicle's age and mileage.

2. Statutory Rights

This policy operates in conjunction with your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

3. Short-Term Right to Reject (First 30 Days)

  • Eligibility: Applicable if the vehicle exhibits a fault as defined above.

  • Process:

    • Notify CarPeeps in writing within 30 days of purchase.

    • Cease using the vehicle immediately upon identifying the fault.

    • Return the vehicle to CarPeeps at your expense, unless otherwise agreed.

  • Refund: Full purchase price, processed within 14 days of agreement.

4. Repair or Replacement (31 Days to 6 Months)

  • Eligibility: Faults presumed to have been present at the time of sale.

  • Process:

    • Notify CarPeeps in writing, providing details of the fault.

    • CarPeeps will assess and, if appropriate, offer a repair or replacement.

    • If the initial repair or replacement fails, you may request a refund, subject to a reasonable deduction for usage.

5. Post 6 Months

  • Eligibility: Faults that can be proven to have existed at the time of purchase.

  • Process:

    • Provide evidence (e.g., independent expert report) that the fault was present at the time of sale.

    • CarPeeps will evaluate the claim and respond accordingly.

6. Distance Sales (Online Purchases)

  • Cooling-Off Period: 14 days from the day after delivery.

  • Conditions:

    • Vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received.

    • Mileage must not exceed 50 miles from the recorded delivery mileage.

    • Any deterioration may result in a deduction from the refund.

    • Return transportation costs are the responsibility of the customer.

7. Exclusions

The following are not covered under this return policy:

  • Wear and Tear: Issues arising from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to tyres, brake pads, and wiper blades.

  • Accidental Damage: Damage occurring after delivery due to accidents or misuse.

  • Modifications: Any alterations made to the vehicle post-purchase without prior written consent from CarPeeps.

  • Commercial Use: Vehicles used for commercial purposes unless explicitly agreed upon at the time of sale.

8. Return Procedure

To initiate a return:

  • Provide your purchase details and reason for return.

  • Arrange for the vehicle to be returned to CarPeeps premises.

9. Refund Processing

  • Refunds will be processed within 14 days of CarPeeps agreeing to the return.

  • Refunds will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

10. Amendments

CarPeeps reserves the right to amend this policy at any time. Any changes will be communicated to customers and will not affect existing contracts.
